Bio and Contact Information
Bethany Rose Iverson (Bee) grew up in the desert of rural Washington state, before moving across the country to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a BFA in Illustration with minors in 3D Modeling and Archaeological Science.
When asked at a young age what they wanted to be when they grew up, Bethany would answer “I’m going to write and illustrate my own books.” A few years of attempted story writing later, they’d realize they hated it, and the answer would change to, “I’m going to be an artist.” Throughout school, Bethany would take any art-related request, including a paid commission to paint a forty foot long mural. Upon graduating, they received Moses Lake High School’s Outstanding Achievement Award in Visual Arts, as well as a few local scholarships, and set their sights on art school, returning home the first few summers to teach an art class for their high school’s incoming TRIO Upward Bound Students.
They still hold that same love for storytelling that drove them when they were young, but now hope to use it to help others tell their stories. They’ve since fallen in love with video games for their ability in immersive visual storytelling, and Bethany wants to be a part of creating a book or a game that others can enjoy and be inspired by.
